Kareena Plays a True Ektaa Kapoor Fan!

Kareena Kapoor has surprisingly again taken up a multi-starrer film Golmal and the reason for that, like always is that Bebo has a very interesting role.She plays a true blue Ektaa Kapoor fan in the film. Infact, her character is called Ekta too. She plays a young housewife who is badly influenced by Ektaa Kapoor’s ‘K’ serials and is always accusing her husband (Ajay Devgan) of cheating on her.

“Bebo plays a housewife who is heavily inspired by the saas-bahu serials. She is able to draw a parallel between her husband’s infidelity with specific instances of infidelity from some of the TV serials. It’s hilarious!” confirms Tusshar Kapoor.
And guess what Ektaa’s take on that - “That’s flattering! Long live the saas-es and bahus!” says Ekta!

Kajol Troubles Karan Johar for Nysa

Kajol, after months of persuasion from Karan Johar agreed to do his film The Name is Khan. And Karan Johar is really having a hard time to deal with Kajol, who had agreed to do the film on the condition that he should use her dates for the overseas shoot of the film for not more than 20 days at a stretch.

A source says, “Kajol has told the director-producer that she would shoot for 20 days non-stop on location to enable all the outdoor scenes being canned. She desires that the indoor portions be shot as far as possible in Mumbai. As her hubby Ajay Devgan is also busy with his shoots, she wants to be around for Nysa. The child cannot travel with them all the time. Also, Kajol does not want to stay away from Mumbai for months.”

Poor Karan Johar is having a hard time managing his finances with his leading lady shuttling between the foreign locations and Mumbai for her daughter.

Motherhood changed Lolo

Actress Karisma Kapoor credits motherhood for changing her and insists that becoming mother to Samaira is the best experience of her whole life.

She says, “Motherhood changed me a lot as it has made me more responsible and mature as a human being. Being a mother is the best experience of my life.”

She reveals that she took up the role of judge for the upcoming season of Nach Baliye as it leaves her enough time to be with her daughter Samaira.

She says, “I have consented to be judge of the show as it will not be too hectic for me. I have to shoot once or twice a week and that will leave ample amount of time to devote to my home and daughter (Samaira).”

Well now Samaira sure has a beautiful and doting mother.

Shahid Kapoor gives up smoking

Handsome hunk Shahid Kapoor who was a teetotaler and non-smoker, had taken up heavy smoking in order to come out of the depression caused by his break up with sexy Kareena Kapoor. Gosh! Shahid you must have realized by now that Kareena doesn’t deserve your love, so why to get into depression. Just dump that girl out of your mind!!!

A close friend of Shahid revealed, “Shahid was a complete teetotaler, but he started smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection in Canada after his break-up with Kareena. He was often stressed out and we didn’t realize what was wrong with him. Suddenly, we saw him smoking heavily during the shoots. We thought it was work-related stress, but we were worried when we saw that he had become a chain smoker.”

Friends bugged him alot and advised him against becoming a chain smoker as it would ruin his health, and thankfully Shahid has realized his folly. As said by the close source, “Shahid realized that a lot had changed in his personal and professional life. Kareena has moved on and so has he. He has accepted things and is happier after Jab We Met was hugely appreciated. He doesn’t need cigarettes anymore!”

Shahid’s personal trainer and close friend Abbas Ali also confirmed the news, “Shahid is training very hard these days. But a few days back there was something amiss; he was not achieving the desired results. When he asked me what was wrong, I told him that his smoking was causing him much harm. Thank goodness, he kicked off the habit and has stuck to it.”

Shahid had taken up smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection and now has given up the habit prior to its release.

Censor Chops Condom Dialogue for Hello

When the entire world is going mad preaching safe sex and usage of condoms, looks like our Indian censor board is still caught up in the pre-historic times. Apparently, the censor board found the usage of word ‘condom’ offensive in the movie Hello.

There is a lovemaking scene in Hello between Gul Panag and Sharman Joshi. The two are well educated call centre executives. Before they get intimate in the scene, Gul asks Joshi to use a condom.

It is said that the dialogue did not go down well with the jury of the censor board, so they ordered that the dialogue be deleted. Ironically, they have retained the lovemaking scene and deleted the dialogue.

Many fans of shehenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan are praying for his health as he has been rushed to the hospital on his birthday due to abdominal pain.

The 66-year-old actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital after he complained of abdominal pain. As soon as he reached hospital, his stomach and chest scans was taken.

Amitabh Bachchan was accompanied by his daughter Sweta, bahu Aishwarya Rai and son Abhishek to the hospital. Samajwadi party leader and close friend Amar Singh gave him a visit later. Amitabh is supposed to stay in the hospital for few days.

Kareena to launch her own website

Joining the league of international stars like Victoria Beckham, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is all set to launch her own website.

The site would inform netizens about the actress' latest fashion trends.

"Kareena's official website is going to be on an absolutely tech savvy format. It's going to be on the lines of the sites of international stars like Victoria Beckham, Madonna and Jennifer," a source close to the actress revealed on Tuesday.

The source added: "Her website is going to be more fashion oriented. The site will have updates not only of Kareena's fashion trends but also other trends that take place all over the globe".

The actress has been known for her fashion presence even in the fashion fraternity and looks forward to sharing her trend sense with her fans through the site.

"She has sound knowledge about the fashion industry and the website will give her a chance to share her fashion knowledge with her fans. There have been a number of occasions when Kareena has even actively participated in designing her own costumes for films," said the source.

Kareena is also the brand ambassador of a global fashion retail chain Globus.

The much talked about kissing scene between Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Malavade has been chopped from “Kidnap”.

According to director Sanjay Gadhvi, the scene was cut in response to the feedback from the audience. The viewers were not happy to see an elderly couple lip-locked and hence after much consideration he decided to remove the scene from the film.

Also, there were rumours that Sanju's wife, Manyata, had issues with the scene.

When contacted, Manyata denied the rumour saying she had nothing to do with the removal of the scene and that she does not interfere in Sanju's work.

Kareena Kapoor defeats Salman Khan

A few days back we had reported that Salman Khan was busy doing a song for Veer, which cost the producers Rs. 3.5cr, making it the costliest song ever. But Kareena Kapoor it seems is ready to beat Sallu at it. A special promotional song, featuring Bebo and costing Rs. 6 crore, was shot by director Rohit Shetty for Golmaal Returns at the Filmistan Studios in Goregaon, Mumbai.

The song, ‘Tha karke’, features the entire cast and crew of the film that includes, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Amrita Arora, Anjana Sukhani and Celina Jaitley. The theme of the song is Goan since this sequel too is based in Goa just like Golmaal(the original). The shooting of the song took the team a good 10 days.

Ganesh Acharya choreographed the number. The major cost of the song shoot went into the very expensive set specially erected to recreate Goa in Mumbai. The film is all set to release during the Diwali time on October 31st. The music of the film will be launched in a two-week’s time.

Enthiram to sport international standards of technical wizardry

Enthiram, the newly named Tamil pic that was earlier called Robot will start shooting in Machu Piccu in Peru. It features mega stars
and Aishwarya Rai and is slated to be the most expensive Indian movie ever with a budget of Rs 140 crore. Shooting starts on September 8th.

Enthiram will see technical features that are unprecedented for an Indian movie. It has roped in the best of international talent to embellish its cinematography , costumes, and action sequences.

Hollywood costume designer Mary E. Vogt – the expert who designed the futuristic suits and gadgets in Men in Black, Bat Man Returns and Inspector Gadget – will design the robots to be featured in Enthiram. She will also design the futuristic suits that will be donned by the artists.

Manish Malhotra will design the ‘normal costumes’ that will reflect the futuristic fashion that might be prevalent in the period depicted in Enthiram. The costume designer, who had worked in innumerable Bollywood projects, had already worked with Rajnikanth in Sivaji.

Stan Winston Studios, which have been catering to all animatronics needs of Hollywood, will take care of the animatronics involved in this film. Iron Man, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, and I-Robot are some of the movies that testify Stan Winston Studios’ efficiency. They will also be aided by companies like CafeEFX ILM, Tippet, Centro and Menfond.

Stunt choreographer Yuen Woo Ping, who choreographed the stunning and visually appealing stunts of Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Kill Bill, will take care of all the stunts of this film.
With such international talent involved, Enthiram promises to be at least a visually enticing spectacle if not a super hit movie.

Prince Of Romania Out To Tap Bollywood Mania

The Prince of Romania has extended his hand of friendship to Bollywood. On a goodwill visit to India, Prince Radu of Hohenzollern-Veringen was here to tell more about his country especially in the areas of tourism and film making.

Extolling the virtues of the Danube river, Carpathian mountains, 2000-year old monastries and the Black Sea, his country, according to the Prince, offers just the ideal setting for Bollywood filmmakers to flock there for shoots. “We have everything here — sun, sand” and the inevitable skiing resorts at the snow-clad mountains.

Speaking to FE, the prince said he would be back again with princess Margarita early next year to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. Prince Radu is the special representative of the Romanian government for integration, co-operation and sustainable development, but his visit here is not aimed at signing any official agreement, instaed to create a ground for mutual understanding.

“I am not here to sign any agreements. I am here to tell more about my country. I have tried to create awareness about the opportunities available in Romania during my meetings with several leaders,” he said. According to him, tourism offered a base for strong and reliable relationship between two countries.

“We are trying to raise awareness in the two countries and develop sectors like agriculture, services, organic products, and information technology,” he said. Romania has been invited to join NATO next June and it hopes to become a member of the European Union in 2007.

Romania is also an active partner in the Union of Europe UE) and Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and despite its efforts to a prosperous and stable life, is present in a lot of mission of peace keeping and management of crises.

The prince said Romania had offered to India its expertise in oil and gas sector especially in transportation and pipelines.

The two countries are expected to set up a joint working group on petroleum with representatives from the private sector. This is likely to be finalised during the next high level meeting between the two sides.
